What you can do

Supported Zed AI features can use your connected ChatGPT plan. You can also use the ChatGPT plan connected to Codex on your computer.

Good to know

When you reach your ChatGPT plan limit, Zed does not automatically switch to separately paid usage.

ChatGPT limits
Pay-as-you-go OpenAI access and models paid for through Zed are separate options. Available subscription models depend on your ChatGPT plan.
Possible extra cost
Models paid for through Zed or OpenAI pay-as-you-go billing can be connected separately.

How to get started

    Open Zed's agent settings.

    Choose ChatGPT Subscription.

    Sign in with OpenAI and select an available model.
