What you can do

The main Hermes assistant uses Codex models through your connected ChatGPT plan. Smaller background tasks use the same AI service unless you change that setting.

Good to know

Hermes can switch to another connected AI service, but there is no automatic free usage beyond your ChatGPT plan.

ChatGPT limits
Signing in with ChatGPT directly in Hermes and connecting Codex from your computer are separate setups. Hermes uses another AI service only if you configure one.
Possible extra cost
Other connected AI services may have their own costs.

How to get started

    Install Hermes Agent and run the model selector.

    Choose OpenAI Codex.

  3. 03

    Open the sign-in page, enter the code Hermes shows, and approve ChatGPT access.
